LUNAR NEW YEAR

PLAYWORLD

Jie Li attends a progressive pre-school in Guangzhou City. The school was one of the first to use the 'Conceptual Playworld' teaching model created by Monash academics. This teaching model encourages students to go on imaginary journeys, meet and solve challenges and learn STEM concepts young - all while playing. This instils Jie Li with a keen interest and good fundamentals in STEM concepts from a very early age.

GAOKAO

Jie Li completes her Gaokao prep and participates alongside 10 million other students. After receiving an outstanding score of 620 she considers her options and decides to apply to Monash University, Melbourne in Australia.

SMART MANUFACTURING HUB

Jie Li's early interest and education in STEM subjects lead her to her dream course, studying robotics at Monash University. Here, she has access to the state-of-the-art Smart Manufacturing Hub, a multi-million-dollar initiative that provides access to world-leading equipment.

CYBERSECURITY RESILIENCE IN SMART CITIES

Jie Li's hard work pays off as she completes her double degree in Data Science and Robotics Engineering (Honours) at Monash University. After joining a leading tech firm in Melbourne, she spearheads a project to enhance cybersecurity for multinational firms. This includes a pioneering initiative in China to strengthen city infrastructure against cyberattacks.

POLICE OFFICER PARTNER

Choosing to stay in Melbourne after her degree, Jie Li meets her future husband, Luke - a policeman who specialises in preventing crimes against minors. Thankfully AI software developed by AiLECS lab lets Luke investigate sensitive material without actually viewing it himself, preventing trauma and poor mental health.

SUSTAINABILITY AND GREEN REVOLUTION

Jie Li's background in cybersecurity within smart city planning enables her to pursue her passion for green cities and sustainability. Through advocacy and strategic partnerships, she successfully boosts the adoption of sustainable practices in many regions of the country.

CHINESE NEW YEAR GALA SHOW

Jie Li's pioneering work in cybersecurity and sustainable energy gain national recognition. She's invited as an honoured guest to China's New Year Gala, becoming a symbol of innovation and dedications, celebrated throughout the country.

RETIREMENT

After a long life of achievements Jie Li has finally retired. She spends the rest of her days ticking experiences off her bucket list surrounded by friends and family.
